Information about the training courses developed at the CACM as well as techniques used by Odessa lecturers was represented to the participants of this workshop. Managers expressed wish to learn more about interactive training methods as well as about technical equipment which is used insufficiently in high education institutions, therefore this information presented by lecturers of the CACM was accepted with a special interest.
Very useful was training as a role game: "Poster presentation".
Different training techniques were presented on posters (projecting, games, discussion - "debates", "brain storm", "analysts team", "background knowledge tests", "case-studies", "writing project", "conference training style" and others). Then 5 express-lessons were designed and participants presented chosen techniques and discussed the functions in the teaching situation(s), the goals, the teaching objectives, and possible adaptation / variation of the techniques.
Round-Table - "Development of the cultural management in East Europe: plans and perspectives" was organized with the aim of experience exchange and to learn more about techniques used by European colleagues. Besides lecturers, students of the CACM and managers from other cities, young cultural managers - students by the Robert Bosch program http://www.bosch-stiftung.de, two professors of the Institute of Cultural Management (Ludwigsburg, Germany) www.kulturmanagement.ph-ludwigsburg.de: Ekkehard Jurgens, M.A., Akad.Oberrat and Prof.Dr.Thomas Knubben participated in it. This meeting was organized with the assistance of charity foundation "Bavarian House, Odessa" http://www.bayernhaus.odessa.ua
Some problems and plans concerned with the development of international cooperation in the sphere of cultural management training were discussed as well. Participants have got useful information about contemporary management in the sphere of art and culture. Prof.Dr.T. Knubben informed about forthcoming Conference on marketing which will be held on May 2006 in Ludwigsburg.
It was expressed that such meetings are useful and it is necessary to continue work towards international cooperation and development of new contacts. All participants agreed that issues existing in the sphere of cultural management in different countries have a lot of common and it would be helpful to join efforts in order to solve problems altogether.
It was proposed to establish international network of art-managers. Some of participants expressed wish to visit Odessa on July in order to take part in Summer-School 2006 as well as to learn more about training courses.
